Dasinya Journal for Engineering and Informatics is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in research and scholarly publishing. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines and expects all authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
1. Ethical Standards
The journal upholds ethical standards that ensure trust in the scholarly record. All participants in the publication process must act responsibly and ethically.
2. Authors’ Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
- Originality: Manuscripts are original and have not been published or submitted for review elsewhere.
- Authorship: All listed authors have made significant intellectual contributions and approved the final version of the manuscript.
- Disclosure: Any financial support or potential conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed.
- Data Integrity: Data are accurate and honestly reported; fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism are strictly prohibited.
- Ethical Approval: Research involving humans or animals has obtained appropriate ethical approval, which must be stated in the manuscript.
- Acknowledgments: Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria are properly acknowledged.
3. Reviewers’ Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
- Declare any conflicts of interest and decline reviews when appropriate.
- Avoid using unpublished material for personal or professional advantage.
4. Editors’ Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for:
- Making fair, unbiased, and timely editorial decisions.
- Maintaining confidentiality throughout the peer-review process.
- Avoiding conflicts of interest and recusing themselves when necessary.
- Acting promptly and transparently when ethical concerns or allegations arise.
5. Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, improper authorship, and unethical use of artificial intelligence.
Allegations of misconduct are investigated by the editorial team in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Authors are given an opportunity to respond, and appropriate actions are taken based on the findings.
6. Corrections and Retractions
To maintain the integrity of the scholarly record:
- Corrections are issued when honest errors are identified that do not invalidate the work.
- Retractions are published when findings are unreliable due to misconduct or serious error.
- Expressions of Concern may be issued when investigations are ongoing.
All corrections and retractions are clearly labeled and linked to the original article.
7. Conflicts of Interest
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence their work or judgment. Disclosed conflicts are evaluated and managed transparently.
8. Open Access and Licensing
All articles published in Dasinya Journal for Engineering and Informatics are open access and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
9. Complaints and Appeals
The journal provides a transparent process for handling complaints and appeals.
